"From Farm to Fabulous" Dinners

The Olney Farmers and Artists Market presents "From Farm to Fabulous" -- a series of six amazing, intimate fundraising dinners, served by our area's most famed chefs.

EVENT #1: Kickoff Dinner: 'A Tribute to 5-Star Chefs'

This dinner will be the "creme de la creme!" Join us for a 5-star dinner at the award-winning Robert Wiedmaier's Brasserie Beck in downtown Washington. You'll savor fabulous hors d'oeuvres from celebrity chefs, including Kaz, Jeff Buben and Scott Drewno. Free flowing wine will be poured by the famed Elyse Kudo. Pastries will be presented by all-star chef, David Rexford. This dinner promises to be unforgettable!

EVENT #2: Bounty on the Bay

Gather at the waterfront home of Buff and Robyn Colchgaff on Kent Island, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Enjoy the view of the Chesapeake Bay, while sipping Bloody Marys and fresh lemonade. Wait until you savor the brunch prepared by the Barlett Pear Inn's Executive Chef, Jordan Lloyd. He'll be offering up the best in Eastern Shore cuisine. Pastry Chef Susan Wallace from Black Salt will be whipping up her amazing creations for dessert. And expect the unexpected! Guests are in for some surprising treats from local celebrity chefs at this event, under the Colchgaff's tent.

EVENT #3: The Best in BBQ

Meet on the spectacular grounds of two of Olney's most prominent residents, Mary Beth and Walt Wigger. Get your taste buds ready to sample Joey Montgomery's famed home brew. Pair it with Timothy Dean's slider appetizers, while listening to the sounds of the legendary Blues musician, Warner Williams. You'll dine al fresco or in the Wigger's beautiful barn. Bernard and Jermaine, owners of the one and only Henry's Soul Cafe of DC and Maryland will be cooking up a storm. Be sure to save room for their famed sweet potato pie! And keep an eye out for our Plein Air Artists in Action.

EVENT #4:  Pati's Mexican Table

This is a rare treat for fans of the amazing cookbook author and PBS television host, Pati Jinich! You are invited to a special Mexican dinner at her fabulous home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where Pati's series is filmed in her incredible kitchen. Pati will be serving up the finest in Mexican cooking. And don't forget the margaritas. We're also planning a silent auction.

EVENT #5: A Taste of Italy

The name, Roberto Donna, is synonomous with fine Italian cuisine. The award-winning chef, from Al Dente in Northwest Washington, will be cooking your dinner at the Potomac home of Doctor Alex Naini. The renowned dentist is owner of the Aesthetic Dental Spa. Your hosts guarantee the food will be put a smile on your face. Elyse Kudo will be pouring the wine. Georgetown Cupcakes will provide the final sweet touch of the evening.

EVENT #6: Star Gazing Vegetarian Dinner

Meet on the gorgeous grounds of Greg and Nadine Mort's hideaway home in Ashton, Maryland. Greg, a famed artist and astronomer, will give you a tour of the night sky, while you sip Nadine's cosmic cocktails. They'll be paired with hors d'oeuvres from former White House Chef Charlie Redden. Your vegetarian dinner will be prepared by one of the Philippine's most renowned chefs, Evelyn Bunjan. Susan Wallace, pastry chef from the Black Salt group, will take charge of dessert.
