Mother's Day, May 9th Join us on May 9th for a special Mother’s Day Artists Café celebration and Art Show. You will be amongst a setting of professional artists, working on easels and with live costumed models. Special vendor discounts are available throughout the market, and many wonderful door prizes will be given out throughout the day for an optional $5 donation to the market. There will be many quality artists, live music, a chef demo, great food, flowers, plants, produce, and much more. It will be an exciting event for all! Contact us with any question. | Bill Mapes |
Bill spent 35 years in the commercial art field in the
Washington, DC region, 30 of those years as a freelance
illustrator/designer. He recently returned to his love of
oil painting and fine art. His primary focus has been on
historical painting and portraiture. Being an outdoorsman,
Bill continues to paint the wonderful landscapes of Maryland
throughout the year. Bill is a certified member of the
Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, a member of the
Portrait Society of America, the Senior Artists Alliance,
Montgomery County Plein Air Artists and current President of
the Art League of Germantown. |

Al has been a professional artist for 50 years. Member of
Art League of Germantown, Portrait Society of America,
Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, Montgomery County
Plein-air Artists and member of the Miniature Painters,
Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, D.C. (MPSGS).
Regularly attends Portrait Sessions and Figure drawings
Sessions at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. |
